Shout out to Mr. Sturges, Ed Encinas, and Gerald Cournoyer, for bringing in representatives from the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) out of Santa Fe to speak with our high school and middle school students. It was an incredible opportunity for them to learn and engage with such esteemed professionals.
We truly appreciate that you extended the invitation to other Native schools in Nebraska. It was wonderful to see students from Winnebago and Isanti joining us and participating in this valuable experience.
Thank you again for your efforts in making this possible. Your dedication to enriching our student's education does not go unnoticed, and it continues to make a positive impact on our school community.
The Lady Chief Volleyball Team will start Regionals tonight in Clarkson against Laurel. It will be the second game of the night and start at approx. 5:45.

The Lady Chief volleyball team will play tonight at Walthill at 6:00. The game will be a "Pink Out" so please wear pink to support the fight against breast cancer.

The Chief football team finished the season in 2nd place in the All-Nations Conference. We will get a bye week this week and host the semi-final game on November 1st at 2:00. We will play the winner of this Friday's game between White River and Marty.
Great job Cross Country at the District Meet last week. Red Eagle ran his personal best time and Keelan ran his 2nd best time of the year.
Reminder Parents night will start at 5:30 for football and cheer. Senior night will take place at halftime plus a special performance from the cheer squad!

Weekly Sports Update: Volleyball will play at Flandreau on Wednesday with JV at 5:00 and varsity to follow. Football on Thursday at home at 6:00 vs. Winnebago. Parents night will be at 5:30 and Senior night for all fall sports will be at halftime. Cross Country districts will be on Thursday at Boone Central at 4:30. Good luck to all the athletes.
October is domestic violence awareness month. This week we recognize and want to stop domestic violence. If you would like, you can wear jeans. Tomorrow is wear red for remembrance of our missing murdered indigenous woman.
The Lady Chiefs took 2nd place in the first annual DOC Volleyball Challenge with a 6-1 record.GREAT JOB LADIES!
Today the Lady Chief Volleyball team is competing in the DOC Tournament in Mitchell. They are currently 2-0 without losing a set. We will keep you posted.
Last night the Chief boys recorded an amazing victory over White River, scoring with 2 seconds left to win 36-28. This should lock us into a #2 seed in the playoffs and a much needed bye in the first round.
D.O.C. Volleyball will not be streaming this year. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Next Thursday's volleyball game at Flandreau will be moved to Wednesday 10/16 with JV starting at 5:00 and varsity to follow.
The first annual DOC Volleyball tournament will begin this Friday at 9:00am in Mitchell South Dakota. The Lady Chiefs will play the second match of the day approx. 10:00am and continue with pool play throughout the day. Matches will run consecutively throughout the day. Schedule for the 2 day tournament can be found at https://www.dakotaoyatechallenge.org/home. The tournament will stream on https://doc.liveticket.tv/ for a fee.
Tuesday 10/8 will be varsity volleyball only starting at 6:00. Senior night is postponed until Thursday 10/17 at the Winnebago football game.
