In honor of Elder Rufus White and his tremendous contribution to our students, staff and community, UNPS has offered our facility to host his funeral on Monday, April 17,2023. There will be no school for students in order to allow the community and school to properly pay our respects.
We invite the community to visit the following https://www.loc.gov/search/?in=&q=rufus+white&new=true. This recording is of Elder Rufus White and is located in the Library of Congress.
No words can describe the incredible contribution Grandpa Rufus made to the students, staff, and community of UNPS. We are grateful for his commitment to Indian Education, his work with the Umoⁿhoⁿ Language and Cultural Center, and his unyielding dedication to passing on the traditions of the Omaha people to the youth of this community. Join us in offering our blessing for Grandpa Rufus and his family.
