UMÓⁿHOⁿ NATION

This week’s staff spotlight is on Sonia Walker. Ms. Walker works as the receptionist here at Umoⁿhoⁿ Nation. Her favorite hobbies are going on walks, thrift shopping, and shopping at flea markets. Her favorite holiday is Christmas. Her favorite sport to watch is basketball. We asked her what she liked most about school, and she told us she loves working with all of her people’s kids. She loves to give out hugs and show love towards the children. She mentioned that she grew up in a school that had mostly white children, and she’s happy to work in a facility with Native children. She would like to vacation in Hawaii. Her goal for the future is to complete twenty years at Umoⁿhoⁿ Nation. Her Vision for the tribe is to hopefully get financially stable.
